The head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reprimanded the akim of the Karaganda region Yermaganbet Bulekpayev for inadequate control over the preparations for the heating season, said the adviser and press secretary of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Uali.
On October 28, the Akim of Karaganda Region, Ermaganbet Bulekpayev, reprimanded the Akim of Sarani, Erkin Baulykov, and the head of the regional department of energy and housing and communal services, Tlektes Dosayev, for “insufficient control over preparations for the heating season.”
On October 29, Akim Sarani was removed from office for the same reason.
"By order of the Akim of the Karaganda region, the head of Saran, Erkin Baulykov, has been dismissed from his post for failing to start the heating season in the city. Maksat Kaireshov, who worked as deputy akim of the city of Saran, has been appointed acting head," the press service of the Akim of the Karaganda region reported.
It should be noted that Erkin Baulykov held the post of Akim of the city of Saran for a relatively short time – he took up the post on September 21, 2023.
Earlier, we wrote that Saran residents began to complain en masse about the cold in their apartments. In response, the city mayor published a video message and explained the situation. Later, houses began to be connected to heat from backup sources – local boiler houses. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said that the guilty officials will be held accountable for the disruption of the heating season in the city. Bektenov said that the mayor is primarily responsible for what happened.
