40-year-old Nuralkhan Kusherov has been appointed Akim of the Turkestan region. This was reported by the press service of Akorda. Previously, Kusherov was deputy akim of the Turkestan region.
“By decree of the head of state, Nuralkhan Oralbaevich Kusherov has been appointed akim of the Turkestan region,” the statement said.
The previous head of the region, Darkhan Satybaldy, was transferred to the presidential administration – to the position of first deputy of the administration.
Nuralkhan Kusherov was born in 1984 in Shymkent. He graduated from the South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov, the Kazakh Humanitarian and Law University, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in Moscow. Specialties – economics, finance and credit, jurisprudence.
He began his career in 2008 as an assistant to a deputy of the Majilis of Parliament.
In 2021-2023, he held the position of head of the state revenue department for the Atyrau region of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance. Since January 2023, he held the position of deputy akim of the Turkestan region.
