The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported on the health of those injured in the plane crash near Aktau who were taken to hospitals as of December 26.
It is reported that of the 29 victims of the air crash, 27 were taken to the Mangistau Regional Hospital. The patients were admitted with various injuries, mainly multiple injuries – closed craniocerebral trauma, concussion, closed chest injuries, traumatic shock.
"As of early morning on December 26, 11 patients were in the intensive care unit, 13 in the traumatology unit, 2 in the neurosurgery unit, and 1 in the surgery unit. According to the patients' condition: two are in extremely serious condition, 11 are in serious condition, 14 are in moderate condition, 2 patients have no complaints, and are in satisfactory condition. Of the 11 patients, 8 are on a ventilator plus drug sedation and tonics. Upon admission, all victims underwent the necessary examinations, and after their condition stabilized, they were hospitalized according to their specialties," the Health Ministry said in a statement.
Medical care is provided to the victims in full. Doctors are taking all possible measures to stabilize the condition of seriously ill patients, the hospital is sufficiently supplied with medicines and equipment.
