Traffic on Syganak Street in Astana will be closed for nine months. The restrictions will be introduced on two sections of the street at once. Such measures were taken in connection with the construction of LRT pedestrian crossings, City Transportation Systems writes .
“In connection with the pile-driving works for the construction of LRT overground pedestrian crossings at stations No. 112–118, traffic will be completely restricted until September 1, 2025: along Syganak Street from Akmeshit Street to Turkestan Street; along the right-hand exit from Mangilik El Avenue onto Syganak Street towards Turkestan Street,” the statement said.
Astana residents and visitors are advised to plan their route in advance.
A section of this street was also previously closed due to LRT construction in April 2024.
Let us recall that in mid-November, the construction of the LRT depot began in the capital. The total area of the buildings will be about 80 thousand square meters. They will house all the necessary facilities for the maintenance and repair of rolling stock.
