The judicial panel reviewed the criminal case against Lyudmila Gracheva, accused of fraud and incitement of Kuandyk Bishimbayev's mother to give a bribe in the amount of 100 million tenge, Informburo reports . The money was allegedly intended to mitigate the sentence of former minister Kuandyk Bishimbayev, convicted of the murder of Saltanat Nukenova.
Let us recall that at the end of October, the court of first instance found Gracheva guilty and sentenced her to 10 years in prison, as well as a lifetime ban on working in the civil service, the National Bank, financial organizations and other agencies.
The convicted woman appealed the verdict.
“The appellate court agreed with the guilty verdict, since no violations were committed in the case, all stages of the trial were carried out in accordance with the established norms of the law,” the court’s press service said.
The sentence has entered into legal force.
