The Youth Information Service of Kazakhstan (MISK) reported that their website Youth.kz was blocked on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"On November 28, the youth website Youth.kz was blocked in Kazakhstan. The resource is a project of the Youth Information Service of Kazakhstan (MISK) and informs young people about democratic institutions and human rights," the statement said.
As of Thursday afternoon, it turned out that the resource is blocked from the website with IP 76.76.21.21. It also opens via VPN.
The Village Kazakhstan journalist contacted the MISK for a comment. They clarified that they had not received any notifications from government agencies regarding the blocking of their website.
"Subscribers first reported problems with the site to us on November 27 at 9:11, after which, upon checking, we discovered that it was blocked. We don't have any versions yet (of why this could have happened — editor's note ). We didn't do anything unusual — the editorial staff continued to publish materials and announce upcoming events as usual," MISK said.
Technical specialists are currently working on the problem. "The details are being clarified by our specialists. We will keep you informed," MISK added.
