The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia has addressed Kazakhstanis: from December 1, Kazakhstanis must submit biometric data upon entry into Russia.
“In accordance with the RF Government Resolution of November 7, 2024 No. 1510 (see link ), an experiment is being conducted in Russia to collect biometric data from foreign citizens (including citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan) and stateless persons upon entry and exit from the country,” the statement says.
The first stage – from December 1, 2024 to June 30, 2026, citizens of Kazakhstan arriving at Moscow's international airports (Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky), as well as through the Mashtakovo automobile checkpoint in the Orenburg region, are required to submit biometric data – facial image and fingerprints.
The second stage – from June 30, 2025 to June 30, 2026 – the experiment will cover all checkpoints across the state border of Russia.
The experiment does not apply to employees of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the Russian Federation, as well as members of their families; holders of diplomatic and service passports; children under six years of age.
