Pavlodar residents Lidiya Shcherbakova and Sofya Ponomarenko won the first gold medal in the history of Kazakhstan in the aerial acrobatics duet. This was reported by Kazinform. The world championship was held in Sweden, 46 countries took part in it, including Kazakhstan.

According to the head coach of Pavlodar region, the chairperson of the Kazakhstan Federation of Air Sports Equilibrium Irina Lukina, this sport has been quite popular in recent years. About 500 girls of different ages are involved in the region.
