Kazakhstan ranked 65th in the 2025 Henley Passport Index , which shows which countries' citizens can enter a particular country without a visa. Currently, citizens of Kazakhstan can visit 77 countries without a visa or through a simplified procedure.
Among the Central Asian countries in this ranking, Kyrgyzstan took 78th place (64 countries), Uzbekistan took 80th place (62 countries), Tajikistan took 84th place (58 countries) and Turkmenistan took 92nd place (50 countries).
According to the ranking, the world's most powerful passport belongs to Singapore, which has visa-free (or visa on arrival) access to 195 countries. Its passport holders have visa-free access to 195 of the 227 destinations worldwide, according to the Henley Passport Index, more than citizens of any other country on the planet.
Singapore is followed by Japan (193 countries).
EU member states France, Germany, Italy and Spain are in third place, along with Finland and South Korea, with access to 192 destinations without a prior visa.
Afghanistan is in the last 106th place in the ranking (26 countries). Syria is in 105th place (27 countries), Iraq is in 104th place (31 countries).
By the way, in another world ranking — Global Passport Power Rank 2025 — the passport of Kazakhstan took 52nd place, moving up two positions. According to this ranking, Kazakhstanis can travel visa-free to 46 destinations, and in another 50 countries a visa can be obtained right at the border.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstanis can travel without visas to 39 countries.
In addition, in Europe, a visa-free regime for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan is in effect in Albania, Andorra, Moldova, Ukraine and Serbia, and from July 15, 2024, Thailand introduced a 60-day visa-free entry for Kazakhstanis.
