The US authorities intend to ease sanctions on the supply of humanitarian supplies to Syria for six months, the Wall Street Journal reports .
Suppliers of humanitarian aid who provide water and electricity services will be exempted from obtaining permission to transfer cargo from Washington.
At the same time, the US does not plan to lift all the restrictions imposed against Syria. Washington intends to receive guarantees that Damascus will comply with its promises regarding the rights of women and national minorities.
