The second season of the series "The Squid Game" has broken the record for views in the premiere week. This was reported by the Games Radar platform.
According to Netflix, the second season of The Squid Game has garnered 68 million views in its first week, surpassing Wednesday, which had 50.1 million views in its first week. The Squid Game 2 also took first place in the Netflix popularity ratings in all 93 countries where the streaming service operates. It is worth noting that the first season of the show has long held the title of the most-watched Netflix series, with 142 million views as of October 2021.
The second season takes place three years after the protagonist, player 456 Song Ki-hoon, won the Squid Game. In the sequel, he re-enters the tournament, where he tries to reason with his opponents. After the horrors he experienced last time, he must uncover the truth behind the games.
