In Kazakhstan, the box office receipts for the Kazakh-language film "Venom: The Last Dance" starring Tom Hardy amounted to more than 18 million tenge – this is the best start in the first weekend of distribution in the country. This was reported by the company "Meloman", the official distributor of the Disney and Sony studios in Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia and Transcaucasia, reports "Vlast".
During the first weekend, the film's box office receipts in two languages in Kazakhstan amounted to more than 666 million tenge – this is the best result among all Sony Pictures films in the last three years. In Central Asia and Transcaucasia, the total box office receipts of the third part of "Venom" during the first weekend amounted to more than 855 million tenge.
The main characters of the film were voiced by : Saltanat Bakayeva, Anara Batyrkhan, Ninety One soloist Batyrkhan Malikov, Asan Mazhit, Nurai Zhetkergen and others. The film was released under the title "Venom: Songy Bi".
Let us recall that in 2024, three animated projects were released in Kazakhstan in the Kazakh language: Inside Out 2 from Disney and Pixar (the cartoon collected 128 million tenge in Kazakh and became the highest-grossing among all films dubbed into Kazakh), Despicable Me 4 from Illumination Entertainment, and Wild Robot from Universal Pictures.
In all cases, all costs associated with the creation of Kazakh dubbing were fully covered by the copyright holders.
