Forecasters have presented the weather forecast for Kazakhstan for December 31 – January 2.
According to the RSE "Kazhydromet", the weather in most of the republic will be formed by a cyclone from the regions of the Scandinavian Peninsula, with which unstable weather is expected: snow, blizzards, strong gusty winds on January 1-2 are predicted in the northwest, north, center and east of the country, precipitation (rain, snow), ice in the west, southwest, in the southern, southeastern regions of the republic.
On December 31, heavy precipitation is forecast in the mountainous regions of the south and southeast of the country – rain, snow. Strong winds and fog are expected in Kazakhstan.
Temperatures are expected to rise across most of the country:
- at night in the west up to -5 +5, during the day up to -3 +10,
- in the northwest, north, center, east at night up to -2 -13, during the day up to -7 +2,
- in the east at night and during the day up to 0-8,
- In the south and southeast, no sharp changes in temperature are expected.
