The American video hosting YouTube has been blocked in Russia — at least that's what local IT experts say. According to them, the site is almost not working: the platform's traffic has plummeted by 80%, and the traffic volume has dropped to a record low of 20%. And the slowdown continues. This is reported by daily.afisha, citing the Telegram channel "ZaTelekom", which is run by Mikhail Klimarev, head of the "Internet Protection Society".
Klimarev analyzes Google data on traffic and service failures. Based on this, he created a graph with average daily YouTube traffic values in Russia. It shows a significant drop in the indicator in recent days.
According to the expert, now we are talking not about any kind of slowdown, but about blocking.
