People of what professions are more susceptible to burnout
There are several professions in which the risk of burnout is especially high. First of all, this concerns the “helping professions” — people who work with other people. This condition is often observed in doctors, especially oncologists, ambulance workers, surgeons and junior medical personnel. Social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, emergency service workers and, of course, teachers are also susceptible to burnout.
However, anyone can experience burnout. Imagine a person who is completely absorbed in their work, ignoring personal needs, but does not get the expected result or achieves it to a lesser extent than expected, despite the efforts invested. As a result, overexertion and fatigue occur. After rest, these symptoms may decrease, but they become more acute again when returning to previous conditions.
Burnout is also common in mothers who experience extreme feelings of fatigue, stress and exhaustion due to the constant demands and pressures that result from long-term physical and emotional strain.
