On December 15, Talgar will hold elections for a new mayor. Three candidates are running for the position.
According to the territorial election commission, voting is taking place at 26 polling stations from 7:00 to 20:00. There are 42,774 voters registered in the city.
The following are running for the post of Akim of Talgar:
Arystanbek Abilkhairuly (41 years old), candidate from the Amanat party, head of Talgar Turgyn Uy LLP, Talgar city.
Kadenov Zhanibek Zhanbulatuly (33 years old), candidate from the People's Party of Kazakhstan, chief specialist of the financial and economic department of the State Institution "Apparatus of the Akim of Talgar District", city of Talgar.
Ramazanov Alibek Gaisauly (42 years old), self-nominated, deputy akim of the State Institution “Apparatus of the Akim of the Besagash Rural District”, Talgar district.
The previous akim of Talgar, Bakhyt Kurishbekov, was dismissed from his post on October 15 due to the situation with the murder of minor Sherzat Polat.
