British musician Sir Elton John admitted that he was unable to watch his own musical The Devil Wears Prada due to vision problems, The Guardian reports .
"It's hard for me to see, but I enjoyed listening to it and, damn, it sounded good today," said the 77-year-old musician, who wrote the lyrics for the new musical.
Speaking on stage at the Dominion Theatre in London's West End on December 1, Elton John thanked his husband David Furnish for "being a rock".
In September, Elton John revealed that he had lost some of his sight after suffering from an eye infection this summer. He said he picked up the infection in July in France, leaving him with little vision in his right eye and only partial vision in his left.
"I am recovering, but it is a very slow process and it will take some time before vision returns to the affected eye," he wrote at the time.
Last week, Elton John revealed on Good Morning America that vision problems are delaying the release of his next album with co-writer Bernie Taupin.
