Thanks to the annual "Saiga" campaign, the number of steppe antelopes has increased to more than 2.5 million. The next stage starts on December 1 in the Kostanay region

The timing of the campaign is connected with the beginning of the saiga rut. During this period, male steppe antelopes lose a lot of energy and become more vulnerable, which can be used by poachers. The campaign is held in 14 regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
