On November 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in Kazakhstan on a state visit. The visit program includes negotiations between the heads of state Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in narrow and expanded formats, signing of important bilateral documents and a joint statement for the press.
“This will be a landmark event in our interstate relations,” Tokayev said about the upcoming visit.
In addition, the article by the President of Kazakhstan , “Kazakhstan and Russia: New Horizons of Strategic Partnership,” was published in the Russian newspaper Izvestia. In it, Tokayev noted that “relations between Kazakhstan and Russia serve as an example of strong and unbreakable friendship.” Tokayev also stated that the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries are based on close historical and cultural ties, as well as shared responsibility for the future of the two peoples.
Tokayev shared that he maintains regular contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin, "distinguished by frankness, businesslike approach and mutual respect." According to the president, this "allows us to promptly resolve emerging issues and strengthen the truly friendly nature of relations between our countries."
"We in Kazakhstan always remember that our countries are united by the longest land border in the world. In our opinion, this is the border of eternal friendship and true good neighborliness," said the President of Kazakhstan.
Tokayev also said that he and Vladimir Putin plan to exchange thoughts on the global situation, which has become critical in its tension.
In turn, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to celebrate Victory Day in Moscow. This is stated in the article by the Russian President “Russia – Kazakhstan: a union in demand by life and facing the future” , published in the newspaper “Kazakhstanskaya Pravda”.
Putin recalled that in 2025 the peoples of both countries will celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
"We are expecting President Tokayev and other Kazakh friends to attend the anniversary celebrations in Moscow on May 9. Both Russia and Kazakhstan remember and sacredly honor the feat of fathers and grandfathers who fought shoulder to shoulder against Nazism," Putin noted.
He believes that countries must do everything so that their future generations remember the price at which peace and freedom were defended. This, the Russian president believes, is especially important now, when "a more just multipolar world order is being formed, which will be based on equal cooperation and will open up new opportunities for sovereign development."
On November 28, a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council will be held at the Palace of Independence. The event will be attended by the heads of state of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, the secretaries general of the CSTO, CIS and SCO.
