In the Almalinsky district of Almaty, at the intersection of Auezov and Gogol streets, a passenger bus collided with a diesel locomotive, as a result of the accident seven passengers were injured, Kazinform reports . Earlier it was reported that six people were injured.
"Bus route 88, belonging to a private carrier, traveling along Auezov Street in the northern direction, north of Gogol Street, collided with a diesel locomotive that was traveling along the railway tracks to the west. As a result of the accident, six passengers of public transport were preliminarily injured. They were given medical assistance. Other circumstances of the accident are being established," the press service of the Almaty Police Department commented.
The condition of the victims was assessed by doctors. According to the Almaty Department of Public Health, there are seven of them.
"The 80-year-old patient was admitted to the emergency department with rib and forearm fractures. Her condition is considered serious but stable.
Five victims, after the necessary laboratory and instrumental studies and examination by specialists, did not require emergency hospitalization. They were sent for outpatient observation at the place of attachment to the polyclinic.
Another patient was taken to the Almaty Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital,” the press service of the Health Department commented.
