In order to attract young doctors to the North Kazakhstan region, the regional health department proposed raising the one-time payment to doctors to 8.5 million tenge, Petropavlovsk.news reports .
At a meeting of the regional public council, the head of the department, Kanysh Bizhanov, reported that they had already submitted to the akimat a corresponding project to approve a list of medical workers in acute shortage.
“A draft for approval of a list of acutely shortage specialties has been sent to the regional akimat, according to which payments will be made as social support measures in the amount of 8.5 million tenge,” said the head of the health department.
The publication notes that the region continues to have a shortage of doctors: there is a shortage of 144 specialists, and there is also a shortage of mid-skilled medical workers; 174 doctors are needed in regional and district organizations.
According to the decision of the North Kazakhstan Regional Maslikhat, young specialists are allocated a lifting allowance of one to five million tenge. As of November 1, 2024, 52 doctors received lifting allowances in the amount of 181 million tenge. In addition, if there is a housing stock, doctors are provided with housing, and partial compensation for rent for three years is provided.
