Everyday life and free time
In my free time I dance contact improvisation and take photos. I don't go to the theater very often. I'm not currently promoting myself in cinema, but I would like to return to filming.
I think when you are just starting out, you rarely have a choice. Finding a project, even if it is not right for you, is a difficult task for aspiring actors in Kazakhstan. It is more likely that you will not find it, but it will find you if you are not hiding.
Difficulties
Sometimes I think that it is easier to start acting in films if you have never had any contact with studying at a theatre school, have never worked in a theatre, and have never acted anywhere. In Kazakhstan, there is a community of actors who often act, but it is very small. I think that after studying at a theatre school, many actors do not even try themselves in films. They go to the theatre, leave it, and return to it again.
It turns out to be some kind of vicious circle. Theaters live their own life, each has its own audience. Therefore, I cannot say that any of them are dying. For some, it matters – and therefore, life is present there. The same with cinema.
There were many difficult moments, and you have to deal with them every day. You have to constantly keep yourself in shape, compete, look for projects, learn new things, stay public. Work for actors is often unstable and there may be periods when there simply isn’t any, especially at the beginning of a career. You don’t know what will happen next, there are no guarantees. For me, the most difficult thing is the lack of stability.
