The name of the officer killed in the Mi-8 helicopter crash in the Aktobe region has been revealed. This is an officer-instructor of the aviation squadron of the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces, Major Batyr Urazymbetov. He was only 36 years old. This is what the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan writes in an official statement.
According to the ministry, Urazymbetov was born in 1988. In 2009, he graduated from the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces in 2009, specializing in "Airplanes, helicopters and aircraft engines." He managed to serve in various positions in the Air Defense Forces. He also had significant experience in operating flights on the Mi-8 – more than 500 hours.

"During his service, he demonstrated high professionalism and dedication to the cause. He took part in flood control measures this spring. He was awarded anniversary medals and for long service. He was married and raised two children," the department said in a statement.
Also injured in the "hard landing" were the commander of the aviation squadron of the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces, Major Bibarys Ibrayev, and the senior pilot-instructor of the training aviation center of the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces, Senior Lieutenant Rustem Nigmetov, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
The victims are currently in the intensive care unit of the Aktobe regional hospital, in a "stable but serious" condition. They are receiving all the necessary assistance.
